Step six: Encourage curiosity

 

There will be times when the path you've chosen won't lead to the desired goal. That is the moment curiosity steps in! 

Teach your children to ask 'what if' questions! If it doesn't go this way, what if I do it differently? 

Teach your children to explore alternatives! How do you do that?

Simply ask them some of these questions: 

• Why do you think this happened? 
• How can you benefit from this new situation?
• Did you discover anything new about the situation?
• Do you have any ideas how you can overcome this?

Encourage a love of learning about new and unfamiliar things. Have them try doing a routine process in a different way. You will both benefit from these activities!
