Step fifteen: Show them how you do it

No matter how rocky relationship with the children may be at a given time, they will always look for support and guidance in their parents or the close ones.

Show the children how you have persevered, are persevering and will persevere. Your example is a powerful tool for them to model resilience and grit.

Tell them about the goals you have achieved or those you failed to achieve. Answer even the tough questions so that they can understand the struggle. 

Tell them about what you are trying to do now. Explain the issues and decisions to be made. 

Tell them about the challenges of tomorrow and explain how you plan to tackle them.
